Yesterday, I attended a female leadership initiative organized in honor of International Women’s Day. While the intention was to empower women, the discussion left me reflecting deeply. There were no male speakers, and the conversation revolved around how unfair life is for women in our society. Jokes about motherhood, frustration with men’s behavior, and a strong victim-versus-perpetrator dynamic filled the room.
I listened and observed as some women devalued their friends’ choices to be stay-at-home moms, while others criticized men for not sharing the workload. The main demand was equality—specifically, equal pay for equal performance. While I support equal pay, I was struck by how the solution was framed: women should work more, perform the same way as men, and be paid accordingly. But does this approach truly serve women? Or does it just push them further into a system that disregards the value of traditionally feminine qualities such as care, intuition, and emotional intelligence?

Redefining Equality: The True Value of Feminine Energy
Equality isn’t just about matching men in a system that values productivity above all else. It’s about recognizing and valuing feminine energy on the same level as masculine energy. The work of nurturing, caregiving, and emotional labor has long been invisible in economic systems. Yet, it is the very foundation of our future generations. What if we assigned real economic value to this work? If care work—whether visible or not—were financially recognized, the conversation around gender equality would change entirely.
The real issue is that society continues to prioritize short-term economic value over long-term human well-being. This doesn’t just harm women—it harms men too. Many men long to express their feminine energy but suppress it due to societal expectations.
The Battle Between Energies—Not Genders
True leadership is not about choosing between masculine and feminine energy but about harmonizing both. Masculine energy brings structure, action, and logic, while feminine energy fosters intuition, creativity, and emotional connection. Both are essential for leadership, innovation, and success.
I work on female leadership initiatives, but guess what? Men are included, too. Because this is not just about women—it’s about balance. Leadership is not about control; it’s about guidance, and guidance is inherently a feminine trait. Imagine a world where both energies are embraced equally. Leaders would be more intuitive, compassionate, and creative, while also being structured, decisive, and goal-oriented.
The Root of the Issue: Inner Balance
After the event, I felt the collective emotions in the room—anger, sadness, guilt, frustration. These are deep-rooted feelings, not just about gender but about self-worth. The real work isn’t about external battles; it’s about inner healing. If we don’t tackle these internal wounds, we’ll continue to create surface-level solutions that don’t address the real problem.
Rather than creating more division, we should focus on healing the underlying belief systems that keep us trapped in cycles of power struggle and imbalance.

Actionable Steps to Achieve True Balance
If we truly want to integrate both energies and redefine leadership, we must take conscious steps toward inner and collective transformation:
1. Recognize and Honor Both Energies Within You
- Reflect on how you embody both masculine and feminine energies in your daily life. Do you value one over the other?
- Embrace intuition, emotional intelligence, and vulnerability as strengths, not weaknesses.
2. Create New Workplace Models that Integrate Balance
- Encourage leadership programs that develop both logical and intuitive decision-making.
- Recognize and compensate for the emotional and relational labor that drives team success.
3. Transformative Personal Growth for Leaders
- Engage in self-awareness practices to heal internal beliefs about worth and power.
- Invest in holistic leadership training that fosters true balance rather than reinforcing outdated paradigms.
Moving Forward: A Call for Holistic Change
We need to move beyond feminism as an isolated fight and instead focus on holistic transformation. The goal isn’t to create another battle between genders but to redefine leadership and societal values from the ground up.
Men and women alike must embrace their full spectrum of energy and potential. If we can heal our personal and collective wounds, we will not only create more balanced workplaces but also a society where everyone is valued for who they truly are—not just for what they produce.
This International Women’s Day, let’s not just celebrate women—let’s celebrate the feminine energy in all of us. And let’s do the deep work necessary to bring balance, healing, and lasting change.
